It was an amazing evening for the Field to Vase Dinner Tour when we brought this cross-country event to Ocean Breeze Farms in Arroyo Grande, California on August 6, 2022.
Ocean Breeze Farms, one of the largest Gerbera daisy farm in the United States owned and operated by the Van Wingerden family, hosted this lovely dinner amongst rows and rows of the colorful blooms. Kelly Shore of Petals by the Shore magically transformed the greenhouse into a dreamy dining room, complete with upside down Gerbera hanging chandeliers. New West Catering and Chef Jeff Olsson created a menu that was as delectable and as local as the flowers on the table.

Guests are greeted by a welcome sign and a glass of sparkling wine from local winery Laetitia.
The Van Wingerden’s, the owners and operators of Ocean Breeze Farm, were the hosts of the dinner in Arroyo Grande, CA.
Guests enjoyed the Ball Horticultural sponsored reception.
Guests enjoyed wines from Brick Barn during the reception and dinner.
Guests also enjoyed wines from McPrice Myers during the reception and dinner.
Additionally, guests also enjoyed wines from Seagrape and Margerum during the reception.
The Flower Bar, sponsored by B-Fresh Floral, allowed guests to enjoy working with flowers first hand to create adornments.
Guest could strike a pose at the #F2V step and repeat.
Kelly Shore of Petals by the Shore was the featured designer and visionary behind the look of the dinner.
Jeff Olsson of New west Catering and Industrial Eats delivered a fabulous, delectable all local meal.
Local farms contributed produce towards the dinner.
Local FFA students assisted serving, setting up and cleaning up.
Guests heard personal stories from farmers Rene and Ivor Van Wingerden.
Guests left the dinner with swag and of course flowers!
